Come this September, don't expect to be able to bring big bags in the Carrier Dome as you used to. Syracuse University athletics has announced a new bag policy that restricts the size and types of bags allowed in the dome. Beginning September 8th, fans will have to walk through metal detectors at each entrance and the new bag policy will be in affect.
Now, what is this new bag policy you may ask? Well, the policy allows one gallon clear plastic freezer bags or a clear bag that do not exceed 12" x 6" X 12". You can either get your own bag, or buy an SU clear tote bag. Those bags will be on sale at the SU bookstore or if you are a season ticket holder, you will be given one bag per every two tickets you have.
However, fans will still be able to carry a small clutch, diaper bags, and medical items in, subject to be checked of course. Also, don't worry, you can still bring in seat cushions and backings, as long as they don't have any pockets or zippers.
So, why the change? Syracuse University, along with many other ACC institutions, want to implement these polices for safety and speed when it comes to security checkpoints. What do you think of the changes? Let us know below!
