SU and the Carrier Dome are seeing big improvements before the first game of the upcoming football season. Syracuse's athletic director, John Wildhack, talked about some of the improvements in a press conference. One of the first things discussed was a new ride-sharing drop off area for fans to get dropped off at. There will also be a new North Campus shuttle running on gamedays. The Quad will also feature more entertainment than in years past. More food, music, and TVs with games on them will be available.
Entry into the dome will also be easier and quicker this year with the clear bag policy. Along with that, there will now be mobile ticket entry and a entrance just for students.
A new incentive was also discussed to get fans inside the dome before kickoff. John explained that concessions will be 50% off for everyone from pregame to 30 minutes before kickoff. Fans will get a voucher for this, but it only works for the allotted time.
All of these new enhancements will be ready for opening gameday, tomorrow at 3:30 PM.
