Hercules Candy Company To Open A Storefront In Syracuse!

posted by Becky Palmer -

For over 70 years, the owners of Hercules Candy Company has made and sold candy out of their West Herman Street home. However, when they launch their YouTube channel in January 2017, the company saw sales rise by 30 percent that year, and that growth has continued in 2018 with online sales comprising 43 percent of sales.

Owners Steve and Terry Andrianos have now decided that they need more space to make and sell their candy. As a result, they have decided to open a storefront at 720 West Manlius Street and move operations to that site.  The new store will have viewing cases and  a window where customers can watch candy being made. “We’re really excited about this,” said Terry Andrianos.

Hercules Candy was founded in in 1905 when Steve’s grandfather, Robert, started the business with his two brothers in East Syracuse. The Great Depression forced operations to move to the family home at 209 West Herman Street. So stop in and try some chocolate covered potato chips, white chocolate Oreo bark, or some sea salt caramels. You will be glad you did!
