Electric car owners will now have a public place to charge their cars in the town of DeWitt! The Clean Communities of Central New York and the Town of DeWitt cut the ribbon on three new electric charging stations at the DeWitt Town Hall 5400 Butternut Drive, East Syracuse.
The three double-port, Level 2 Chargepoint charging stations are capable of charging up to 6 cars at a time. The charging stations were made possible by a grant from New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA).
Sam Gordon, Town of DeWitt Director of Planning, Zoning and Sustainability, said that these grant funds “will save taxpayer’s money in the long run.” So if you are in the area and need a charge, stop by the Town of DeWitt Hall and get one!
