Yankees Win Wildcard Game, Take on Red Sox Next

It's an exciting time for Yankee fans! Last night, the Yankees won the wild card game against the Oakland Athletics, 7-2. The game was anything but a blowout until the end. Right off the bat, the Yankees held a 2-0 lead when Aaron Judge hit a 2-run home run. For the next five innings, that score would hold.

In the sixth, Aaron Judge would score again off a double by Aaron Hicks, bringing the game to 3-0. Then, it was newbie and instant Yankees legend Luke Voit that came in to seal the win. After an impressive season so far with the Yankees, Luke did nothing less in last nights game. After his full count, two-RBI triple in the sixth inning, the Yankees pretty much had the game in the bag.

After last nights win, the Yankees will now take on the Red Sox in the ALDS. This is the first post season series game between the two teams in 14 years! Should be quite the game to watch. It all starts tomorrow night, 10/5 at 7:32 PM.
