Tomorrow is Halloween. Are you prepared for all the little goblins that will be knocking at your door? Well I’m sure you have plenty of treats for the tricksters when they show up, but according to Onondaga County Sheriff’s Deputy Kamilla Peck, here are a few things to keep in mind to make sure everyone has a safe Halloween.
If you are handing out treats, make sure the path to your door is clear of hazards and well lit. Make sure your car is park far enough away from the children who will be heading up towards your door. Keep your pet away from all the excitement. Finally, never let strangers into your house.
For the little goblins, make sure their costumes are easy to move in. Also make sure all masks don’t obscure their vision. Parents should accompany their children on the walk. Have your children carry a flashlight or a glow stick and make sure all costumes reflect light. Only go to homes with lights on, and most importantly, don’t let children eat any candy until it has be checked! Have a safe and happy Halloween!
