SU To Go Bowling In Orlando Florida! It's The Camping World Bowl!

Syracuse University’s bowl destination was announced yesterday, and to no real big surprise, it’s the Camping World Bowl in Orlando, Florida on December 28th at 5:15 pm. The 20th ranked Orange (9-3; 6-2 ACC) will meet the West Virginia Mountaineers (8-3; 6-3 Big 12). The game will air on ESPN.

The Orange will be playing a familiar foe. West Virginia and Syracuse had played each other annually until the Mountaineers left for the Big 12 for the 2012 season. This will be the 61st meeting between the two schools with SU holding a 33-27 edge in the series. The teams did meet in the 2012 Pinstripe Bowl in the Bronx with Syracuse winning 38-14.

Syracuse had a breakout season under third year coach Dino Babers and senior quarterback Eric Dungey. This will be the Orange’s first bowl game in five years. Ticket information can be found at cuse.com. Let’s Go Orange!
