With Christmas only a week away, the Onondaga County Resource Recovery Agency (OCCRRA) wants to remind residents what can be recycled and what can't be recycled when it comes to Christmas wrapping and packaging.

What that in mind, here is a list of items that CAN be recycled and should be put in your blue bin:

-Cardboard,

-Plain envelopes,

-Cards,

-Wrapping paper.

Here is a list of items that CANNOT be recycled and should be thrown in the trash:

-Anything with metallics such as envelopes with foil lining, cards with shiny parts attached, and metallic ribbons,

-Tissue paper;

-Ribbons,

-Bows.
