Think about everything you touch in a day. Or even an hour. The mouse or touchpad you used to click on this article. The computer or laptop you're reading it on. Door handles, toilet handles, your keys, your nagging itch, your hair, your nose, and on and on and on.
One would assume the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention employs pretty intelligent people. So when they recommend washing our hands after many of these activities, it seems like a good idea to do so.
Well, that's not the case for one FOX News host. Pete Hegseth said he has not washed his hands in an entire decade! He later backtracked and claimed he was joking, but his co-hosts didn't seem to get the punchline at the time. You can decide for yourself if he actually meant what he said or not.
Regardless of political party or affiliation, washing your hands is something we should all do and encourage each other to do. Scientists tend to know what they're doing so we should probably listen when they tell us washing our hands is a good thing!
