A Local Nonprofit Has Big Plans For Downtown Syracuse

A food hall, a market and mixed-income apartments are in the works for downtown Syracuse. The Salt City Market is expected to open in fall 2020.

The Allyn Foundation is behind the project and leaders say it's the perfect project for the city.

The food hall will combine vendors selling foods from cultures around the world, a grocery store, a cafe and bar and much more. The plan is to build the five-story building at the corner of South Salina Street and West Onondaga Street.

Salt City Market is also seeking vendors. That and more information can be found here.
