Three kittens and their mother are safe thanks to the dedication and care of volunteers and veterinarians.
A man surrendered them and admitted that if he were forced to keep them, he would have suffocated them. He also reportedly admitted he has done just that before.
The Oswego County Humane Society is caring for the newborn kittens while their mother recovers from emergency surgery after giving birth.
The humane society is asking the community for any help anyone can offer, as veterinary costs for the cat and kittens already surpass $1000. Donations can be made here or by calling 315-207-1070.
All of the felines will be available for adoption once they are healthy and, in the kittens' case, old enough.
