Every valuable item will need some repair work done now and then, and the iconic carousel at Destiny USA time has come! The carousel will be closed for about 4 weeks at certain times as restoration will be performed on the famous ride.
Susan Germain, one of the original painters of the historic 1909 Philadelphia Company carousel, and her apprentice, Allison Perkins, will be touching up the horses on the ride on Monday’s, Tuesday’s, and Wednesday’s from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. during those time periods, the carousel will be unavailable.
The carousel at Destiny USA has been an important attraction of the mall since it first opened in April, 1990. The mall was then known as Carousel Mall. Normal wear and tear on the ride required the restorative work now being done. Thanks to this work, we look forward to many more years of riding on the historic carousel!
