Wegmans continues to add services to its business offerings. In addition to its full service grocery stores and its grocery delivery service, the Rochester-based company plans to add a meal delivery service to its operations.
The company announced that it will expand its Meals2GO service to another 40 stores by the end of the year. Wegmans will continue to expand the service throughout 2020. Wegmans will partner with a Silicon Valley food delivery company called DoorDash. Two stores in Rochester and one in Northern Virginia are already utilizing the service. Customers will use the Meals2GO app to place the order. Delivery service is available within a 5 mile radius of the participating store and the fee will be $4.99. A $20 minimum order is required.
A full list of the stores to use the service will be released at some point in the future. Syracuse is expected to have a couple of stores on the list. Well, it looks like we will have another meal service to choose from. Sounds good to me!
