If you head into downtown Syracuse for eating, shopping, or seeking entertainment, you will notice that the city is a little more colorful than it was last week! On Tuesday, the Downtown Committee of Syracuse had their annual “Hanging Flower Basket Day.”
Each year, the Committee places over 300 hanging flower baskets throughout the city in its efforts to beautify the downtown area! The project is supported by over 50 friends, businesses, and property owners from the Syracuse area. The flowers were provided by Oliver P. Paine Greenhouses of Fulton.
So as the spring and coming summer seasons bring better weather to our area, take a stroll around downtown Syracuse to enjoy the shopping and dining, and take notice of the beautiful flower baskets adorning the area!
