It all started with our "caller 12" contest for Old Dominion tickets. When Jason called and won the tickets, he told us he was going to surprise his daughter with them. On a regular day, that's something you wouldn't get super excited about. A father giving his daughter concert tickets he had just won. But then we saw the video. Actually, everyone saw the video, including Old Dominion themselves. This was the start of Jayda's journey to meet the band.
Old Dominion saw Jayda's video and responded with the best tweet ever.
We called Jayda when we found out that not only did she win the tickets from us. Old Dominion themselves along with their record label wanted Jayda to have meet and greet passes so they could meet her.
On the night of the concert. Jayda met Old Dominion, and had an opportunity to chat with them before the concert. The band was great! They asked Jayda what her favorite song was, they even complimented her shoes, but not before we had an opportunity to hangout with Jayda ourselves.
The big moment has arrived. We're with Jayda, her parents and Old Dominion.
Jayda was amazing throughout the entire meet and greet. She smiled, actively engaged and spoke with the band. After the meet and greet was over. This amazing little girl that kept her composure throughout the entire time she was with the band, changed to tears of joy the moment we left the room. Our hearts were truly warmed by the tears of joy that ran down her face. This experience was just as rewarding for us as it was for her. Thank you Jayda for making this Old Dominion concert so special for all of us.
We received this kind note from Jayda's mom after the concert.
You guys gave my daughter a once in a life time experience, she felt so important and like a super star for the few days leading up to the show. She was so nervous about meeting them, then once she saw them she literally couldnt believe it. She was star struck they were amazing with her. They made her feel so special. They complimented her on her shoes(which now she said shes never getting rid of) lol we had great seats and her dad was able to attend with us so she was able to spend time with us alone for the 1st time in years. She cried when her favorite song came on (break up with him) came on. This was her 1st concert shes ever been too. And she will remember it for a lifetime! I cant thank you guys enough for making her dream come true. And I cant thank old dominion enough for taking a few mins to meet her, they just made a huge difference in her life, and she really looks up to them. She knows shes lucky to have the chance to meet them. But the 5mins she spent just talking to them she will remember it forever.
