Want To Be A Dog Trainer? This SUNY College Now Offers A Degree For That!

If you've ever thought about becoming a dog trainer or handler, now's your chance!

According to The Wall Street Journal, SUNY Cobleskill will be the very first SUNY school to offer a bachelor's degree in canine training, handling, and management.

While SUNY Cobleskill already had a curriculum for learning about our fellow canines, it has decided to expand and create a Canine Training and Management four-year program.

In order to receive their Bachelor of Technology degree students must take 120 credit hours. Courses include:

  • Canine Health
  • Canine Aggression
  • Sporting Dogs
  • Canine Area Search
  • Behavioral Problems of Companion Animals

and many more!

It's not all fun and game "playing" with pups. The degree requires students to partake in a mandatory internship before graduating.

If this sounds like it's up your alley give it a look!
