Kelsea Ballerini Releases New Song, 'Hole In The Bottle'

New Kelsea Ballerini music has been released! The country singer shared a new song called "Hole In The Bottle" early Friday (February 28).

The new song is an upbeat tune about someone going through heartache but determined to remain positive. "I won’t cry ‘bout love gone wrong / ‘Cause tears will water down this ruby red I’m sippin’ on," Ballerini sings in the second verse.

"There’s a hole in the bottle / Leakin’ all this wine / It’s already empty, and it ain’t even suppertime," Ballerini sings in the chorus. "No, I don’t miss him / In fact, it slipped my mind / There’s a hole in the bottle of wine."

Ballerini debuted "Hole In The Bottle" during the 2020 Country Radio Seminar on February 19. The new track marks Ballerini's first "drinking song."

"I was like how much longer can I call myself a country artist and not have a drinking song?" she shared at CRS introducing the new song. "So meet my drinking song."

It's safe to say "Hole In the Bottle" will be every wine lovers new anthem. Take a listen to the track below.

The new song is the fourth song Ballerini's shared from her upcoming self-titled album, Kelsea. The lead single from the project, "homecoming queen?" was released in September followed by "Club" and "la."

Earlier this week, Ballerini revealed the complete track list to the new project which included several exciting collaborations. The ninth track on the record, "Half Of My Hometown," will feature Kenny Chesney. Additionally, pop singer, Halsey, makes an appearance on "The Other Girl."

Kelsea is Ballerini's third studio album following 2017's Unapologetically, which included hit songs like "Legends," "I Hate Love Songs" and "Miss Me More."

The country singer says her first two albums were "safe and comfortable," and now she's excited to show fans something new.

“This time I wanted to challenge myself," she says. "I wanted to get in rooms with people who were outside of country. I wanted to get in rooms with people that are just so much better than me and learn and push myself, because why not?"

Kelsea is due out March 20, 2020. See a full track listing here.
