Syracuse and Binghampton NY Ranked In US Seasonal Snowfall Totals

The 2018-2019 Eastern US seasonal snowfall totals have just arrived and its looking like Binghampton is the second snowiest city in America this season, with Syracuse closely trailing behind in third place. Two other upstate New York cities reached the top ten including Buffalo and Rochester. This is not surprising to the many of us who have had to dig our cars out of the snow in the last few weeks, and people are already beginning to dread the coming winter which shows no signs of halting.

The farmers almanac had predicted a long and arduous winter, something we in Upstate NY are used to, but this year could prove even more long than many had imagined with our early October snowfalls and consistent snow through November. Climatologists say there is no correlation between that heavy snowfall early in the season and a future or above average snowfall throughout winter, but we here in the snow globe of the US aren't fully convinced!! Get out your mittens, Upstate!
